2nd Annual Red Hat Society Tea Party at the San Francisco Zoo, July 23, 2005

The Strutting Peacocks, a Red Hat Society Chapter, will be throwing their 2nd Annual Red Hat Tea Party on July 23, 2005 at the San Francisco Zoo. Tickets are $40 per person and that includes admission to the zoo, high tea party, and Red Hat Bingo card, for a chance to win prizes. New for this year, there will be a special red hat exchange. All chapters and new members are welcome to attend.

(PRWEB) May 5, 2005 -- Strutting Peacocks, an official chapter of the Red Hat Society, will mingle with the resident peacocks at the San Francisco Zoo. The catering services at the zoo have graciously agreed to recreate the tea service for the Red Hats, something that is not normally on their menu. Red Hat Society chapter members from Northern California are invited dress in their purple outfits and red hats to meet, eat, play games, win prizes, and celebrate the birthday of the Queen Peacock. Last year over 100 Red Hatters came out to meet, eat, play games, win prizes, and celebrate the birthday of the Queen Peacock, Amber-Leigh. This year, we have added a red hat exchange, for those who have hats in good condition that they no longer use.

The Red Hat Society provides fun social opportunities for mature women. Inspired by the poem Warning by Jenny Joseph, ladies get together in purple outfits and red hat for monthly teas and brunches. Physicians are recommending the Red Hat Society to older female patients to keep them active, give them a sense of community and self worth.

The Strutting Peacocks is one of more than 40,000 chapters worldwide. For more information about The Strutting Peacocks, please visit www.thestruttingpeacocks.com.
