Fighter Bands Raise Money and Awareness for Head Injury Charity

Supporting such as cause is, on the surface very fitting, but the irony here is that there has never been a serious head injury in a sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in New England, though the possibility of such a life altering event occurring to one of our athletes still exists.

Supporting such as cause is, on the surface very fitting, but the irony here is that there has never been a serious head injury in a sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in New England, though the possibility of such a life altering event occurring to one of our athletes still exists.

We have created black wrist bands similar to the yellow Livestrong bands that raised awareness for the Lance Armstrong foundation. The wrist bands are de-embossed with the word FIGHTER recognizing the fact that the patients at Spaulding and their families are the true definition of fighters. Each wrist band is accompanied by a card for your wallet reminding you how important your donation really is. See an example of the card here:

34% of all injury related deaths

Lifetime support cost: $4 Million

All of the proceeds will go to the Spaulding Hospital when the first 1,000 wrist bands have sold. MASS MMA will be at Judgment Night in Taunton, MA on May 14 and the East Coast Fighting Alliance at the Roxy event in Boston, MA on June 4 with black FIGHTER bracelets for sale. These bracelets are available for a donation of $3.00 each or 4 bands for $10.00.

Please support the cause. There are only 1,000 available and we hope to raise awareness for the cause and give something back to Spaulding. If you belong to an organization who would like to contribute more and buy a larger number of wristbands please contact us directly to coordinate efforts. Checks can be made payable Directly to Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, Paypal is accepted on the site and cash is acceptable at the event.
