CoexEdit provides seamless cross-platform rich text editing coexistence between Lotus Notes clients and web based WYSIWYG rich text editors.

(PRWEB) May 16, 2005 -- Genii Software is pleased to announce the immediate availability of CoexEdit 1.0, a powerful new tool which allows IBM Lotus Notes/Domino users to edit rich text from both a Notes client and a web browser without significant loss of formatting. Images, attachments, tables and doclinks can all be added, deleted and modified cleanly from either a web based WYSIWYG rich text editor or a Lotus Notes client. CoexEdit will work with a variety of rich text web editors, allowing each organization or department to choose the editor which best meets their needs.

CoexEdit works without agents or scripts or coding required, and with pre-built integration databases to make the use of popular web editors easy and painless. Integration into existing applications requires only minor modifications to support the rich text editor. Multiple web editors can be supported using a single installation of CoexEdit, as well as any mixture of Notes R5.x and 6.x/6.5x clients.

CoexEdit 1.0 is available now for Domino 5.x and 6.x/6.5x on all Windows platforms, and will be available shortly for AIX and Linux. CoexEdit 1.0 will work with server based databases from Notes R5.x and 6.x/6.5x clients on both Windows and the Mac. Web editing is available from all later generation browsers including IE 5.5+, Firefox 1.0+, Mozilla 1.3+ and Netscape 7+. Local database rich text editing is available for Notes R5.x and 6.x/6.5x on Windows platforms only.
