Arial Software Joins Coalition of Email Marketing Service Providers Fighting Spam and Protecting Legitimate Email Delivery

Leading email marketing software developer joins active industry group united to prevent spam and improve delivery of legimate email messaging.

(PRWEB) May 19, 2005 -- Arial Software has joined forces with a coalition of over 50 other email marketing industry companies searching for a common solution to spam and protecting the viability of email as an effective communications channel.

The Email Service Provider Coalition (ESPC) was formed in 2002 in answer to escalating spam problems plaguing end users and threatening legitimate email marketing. Founding members of the coalition include email service providers DoubleClick, Experian and Constant Contact.

Arial Software joined the coalition in April 2005 after the ESPC announced it would expand its membership beyond service providers to include other email marketing solution organizations interested in finding a common solution for spam email, as well as recognizing the need for continued delivery of legitimate, permission-based, opt-in email messaging.

In the last several years Arial Software has remained active in the war on spam by promoting, developing and/or financing these Internet spam solutions:

- Early endorsement of Microsoft's Penny Black anti-spam puzzle solution
- Breaking the spam purchasing cycle with the "Spam. Don't Buy It." public education effort
- Providing webmasters with a free tool for building permission email lists at http://www.Zeop.com
- Providing marketers with affordable email sender certification at http://www.Relemail.com

Mike Adams, president/CEO of Arial Software, says the company joined ESPC to help promote cooperation among email marketing providers. "A unified, technical effort is what will be needed to eventually close the door on spam and protect email's viability," Adams says. "This is our way of showing support for the ESPC and its industry efforts."
