British Airways Takes Over Grand Central Terminal's Pershing Square Plaza

The campaign utilizes advertising on PromoMedia umbrellas, pedestrian barricades, table tents, sidewalk signage and pole banners, all positioned in the middle of Park Avenue at Pershing Square Cafés outdoor tables and its adjacent public seating area. This highly trafficked area located directly outside Grand Central Terminals main entrance has over 100,000 pedestrians passing by each day. In addition, the Pershing Square Café seats hundreds of patrons daily.

(PRWEB) May 18, 2005 -- "PromoMedias Pershing Square opportunity provides a real cornerstone for our New York marketing campaign" said Amy OKane, director of advertising & marketing services for British Airways, Americas. "Its a ‘brilliant venue in a prime location, and one that that lets us truly interact with our target customers… and of course, we hope theyll "go with those who know" London - British Airways."

This is a unique opportunity for PromoMedia to offer our clients a non-obtrusive but highly visible advertising space;" said Evan Topilow, Director of Marketing. With programs like Pershing Square we continue to enable advertisers to reach consumers in unexpected non-traditional formats."

The Pershing Square Plaza advertising space was created through an alliance between the Grand Central Partnership and PromoMedias founder Marc Friedman. Friedman is no stranger to the outdoor advertising industry since inventing coffee cup advertising (best known as PromoCups) in 1993. Since its inception, PromoMedia has continued to create unique advertising opportunities for its clients, including PromoCart pushcart umbrellas, pizza box tops, Chinese food containers, and nail salon advertising. After starting in New York, PromoMedia rapidly expanded its reach nationwide executing campaigns for Fortune 500 clients in markets large and small across the country.
