Linus Pauling founded modern chemistry, he held of 48 honorary Ph.D.s, and he was the world's only 2-time unshared Nobel prize laureate. (PRWEB) May 26, 2005 -- Between 1992 and 1994, Linus Pauling and associates informed the world that non prescription substances called "Lp(a) binding inhibitors" prevent cardiovascular disease (CVD). Pauling stated that these substances will also destroy existing atherosclerotic plaque already growing in blood vessels.

Paulings rationale explains why the Lp(a) binding inhibitors, especially vitamin C and the essential amino acid lysine, exert such a strong anti-CVD effect inside human arteries. These substances diminish cellular growth which, if left unchecked, slowly narrow the arteries, decreasing blood flow and increasing the chances of heart attack or stroke.

Pauling and Dr. Matthias Rath published their Unified Theory paper in the Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine in 1989. The Linus Pauling heart disease video is less technical and describes a specific, noninvasive, nontoxic nutritional therapy for reversing heart disease.
Paulings message is not hard to understand. The late scientist explains that the Lp(a) binding inhibitor effect is two-pronged:
#1. Vitamin C and lysine stimulate the production of collagen. The increased collagen supply prevents the onset or spread of cardiovascular disease by helping to heal arterial cracks (or lesions) caused by the wear and tear of the beating heart.
#2. Lp(a) binding inhibitors reverse atherosclerosis by inactivating the affinity that the "sticky" Lp(a) cholesterol has for the amino acid lysine. The second action of binding inhibitors disrupts the formation of the plaque.
"These two actions are complementary and much less risky than prescription drugs or common medical procedures for CVD," states Fonorow. "Pauling made his announcement after confirming experiments at his Institute. There are now thousands of reports referring to the plaque-destroying effect of the Pauling Therapy. After more than 10 years, there have been no reports of adverse reactions, even in severely incapacitated patients."
Cardiovascular related health problems comprise one-half of all causes of death in the USA. So far, the medical profession has failed to follow-up the Pauling/Rath discoveries. Medical researchers have not conducted their own studies to test the Pauling/Rath hypothesis that too little vitamin C elevates cholesterol levels, especially the Lp(a) variant that causes narrowing of blood vessels.
The National Institutes of Health have refused to fund studies, and there are no public reports of pharmaceutical researchers investigating the Pauling therapy.
Linus Pauling stated that a double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was not necessary because the vitamin and amino acid therapy is non toxic, its effect is so pronounced, and CVD is otherwise debilitating or fatal.
