Empires in the 'Hood

Urban Wealth SOGR seeks 1,500 or more participants ready for a capital makeover. Over 1,500 audio book CD's will be distributed to Success Partners to assist in life transformations. The top 150 rags to riches stories will be published in an upcoming inspiration book.

(PRWEB) May 29, 2005 -- Urban Wealth SOGR seeks 1,500 urbanites that want an economic makeover. They want second generation public assistance users, their siblings, and their parents too. They want food stamp users, single moms, blue collars and double shift workers. They want kids who listen to boot leg 50 cent CDs and Paris Hilton videos. They want college students in their sixth freshman year working three jobs to get their degrees. They want the last of the least to make them the first of the best. Urban Wealth SOGR wants a story to tell and believes there are bus loads of Cinderellas and Fellas out there who will tell it.

What is Urban Wealth SOGR anyway? Urban Wealth SOGR is an updated version of the 1910 classic the Science of Getting Rich. Throw in a few heavenlies and economic variables and youve got a modern day Urban Fairy Godmother except shes from the burbs.

Well, a lot of people think Im from the ‘hood until I speak. I guess its my dreadlocks and mocha skin says, Urban Wealth SOGR founder, LeTicia Lee."

With a Marketing degree from Hampton University and a string of life experiences, Lee says she was inspired to share her good fortune with those less fortunate by showing them how to create their own opportunities. Lee has scouted film locations for movie studios on such films as Ghost for Paramount Pictures as well as for GQ magazine. She even produced music videos seen on MTV before teaching Business English to European executives. She has also written numerous screenplays, completed a film finance book called The Filmmakers Guide to Film Financing, and founded a start up venture in the cosmetic industry. With so many businesses to run, how does she find time to do an inspirational audio book for urbanites?

Easy," says Lee, "the answer is in the audio book Urban Wealth SOGR."

So do you need to be at a particular learning level to understand the principles of Urban Wealth SOGR?

No. Not at all. It doesnt require a college education. It does require determination. I was using the principles in the book and living in Harlem when I first thought about doing this audio book. Theres so much talent in New York and so much of it is being wasted. It takes a lot of time and energy to hustle. Where others see juveniles, numbers runners, and graffiti artists, I see inventors, Wall Street brokers, and Marketing and advertising execs. Where others see single moms working two jobs and collecting food stamps, I see preachers, missionaries, and mentors. Nobody really wants to live in the projects, living off welfare, and spending the whole day trying to score crack when they could be urban millionaires."

"I decided to let God use my voice to make a difference in the lives of others. I wanted to reach as many people as possible in the shortest period of time. I feel a sense of urgency about it. I realize it might take a minute or two to take root so I've also devised a way for accountability by giving one additional free audio book CD to each buyer. Where they may have once had a scheming partner, junkie bud, or fast food friend, they now have a built in Success Partner. The Success Partner should promote encouragement. I hope they choose someone who has a big dream too. This is like going on a diet, getting off of heroine, and buying your first home all rolled up into one. Its a commitment. I wanted to make it as easy and as gratifying as possible. Playing a CD is something most people know how to do – especially in the 'hood. I heard music like 24/7 on my street. If theres just one person on that street playing Urban Wealth SOGR – I know theres at least one other somewhere else – cutting dead roots and rebuilding inner empires where all empires begin."

We will follow up with those who register to participate. People can register and sign the guest book at http://www.urbanwealthsogr.com. They can also call (585)234.0755 for details."

The top 150 transformation stories will be included in an upcoming book. Im really looking forward to hearing the results. I know it works. Ive done it. Ill let you know what happens."

We look forward to it.
