City of Edmonton Computer Recycling, Failure and Environmental Disaster

ERA urges all Edmonton and area residents to support it's environmentally friendly and socially beneficial programs, unlike this government initiative.

(PRWEB) May 28, 2005 -- ERA officials visited Edmonton's so called computer recycling program on May, 27, 2005 and were disgusted. The Edmonton landfill was filled with computers and electronics of all kind. Pentium 4 computers very useful to local poor residents and thousands of monitors which could be on people's desks were just laying around in mud and water polluting our precious environment. The same people in charge of this landfill refused our requests to go in at no charge to the government and clean up this environmental disaster. We urge everyone from Edmonton to call the Mayor and help us get this problem under control. Our organization could find a home for all usable computers found in the landfill, and environmentally recycle the rest.

How will the province and city of Edmonton explain why tax payers are charged a tax for recycling, when everything in Edmonton ends up in a pile being rained, showed, and who knows whatelse on.

Just another example how our government is lining their pockets, while in this case the Environment suffers.

To help ERA.CA fix this environmental hazard from continuing please donate your computer to us, rather than giving it to the City of Edmonton for "recycling".

Also call the city Mayor to convince him to allow us to go in and clean up this problem.
