Hot New High Dollar Condos and Lofts Leave Buyers Cold

Lisa Kristensen, owner of Gallery West Studio has hopes that the opening of her new online art gallery will warm things up a bit. The new gallery went online in June 2005.

(PRWEB) June 23, 2005 --Old rundown warehouses have been revamped into high dollar condominiums and lofts all over the country. High ceilings, concrete floors, open spaces, and contemporary furniture all tell the story of lofty living. That only tells part of the story. The picture is not complete until there is art on the walls. Big splashes of color, in otherwise, quiet, sleek, cold rooms are the perfect finish for urban living at its best. Lisa Kristensen, owner of Gallery West Studio, had these types of spaces in mind when she launched her new online art gallery in June 2005.

Gallery West Studio is an interactive web-based art gallery that offers a broad variety of original paintings, abstracts, and mixed- media contemporary art works. The works at this gallery are vibrant and expressive. The paintings are vivid and exciting. They seem to speak to your very soul and require a response. Loft spaces often lack the warmth of traditional homes, mostly because of the materials used. Large colorful paintings warm these spaces immediately" says Kristensen. The use of art is a key element in decorating any space. It is even more important when decorating a contemporary space. Art is an expression of life that adds energy to the rooms. The mood and tone are set by that energy."

says Kristensen. The use of art is a key element in decorating any space. It is even more important when decorating a contemporary space. Art is an expression of life that adds energy to the rooms. The mood and tone are set by that energy.
Lisa Kristensen is no newcomer to the idea of taking something old and making it new. She and her husband are renovating a home in Hyde Park, a historical district of Kansas City, Missouri. Old homes and lofts are similar in character with spacious rooms, high ceilings, and large windows. The key to pulling it all together is the use of art to define the space. Decorate according to individual taste and remember that great paintings finish the picture.
