New Blog Directory Just for Small Business

The new Small Business Blog Directory is uniquely focused on small business blogs whose purpose is to help other small business owners, entrepreneurs or independent professionals, by providing helpful tips, tools, tactics and resources.

(PRWEB) June 24, 2005 -- According to a recent Business Week story, there are roughly 9 million blogs available on the internet, with 40,000 new ones popping up each day. And a Pew Research Center Survey says 27% of Internet users in America read them. For small business owners that means it's tough to get noticed in the crowd of blogs growing by leaps and bounds every single day. That's why the Small Business Blog Directory -- http://www.blogsforsmallbusiness.com -- was born.

"There are so many small business blogs already and many more popping up every day. It's tough to find the best ones with just the right nuggets of information," says Denise O'Berry, President of The Small Business Edge Corp. in Odessa, Florida and founder of the blog directory. "Searching through existing blog directories was frustrating for me. Having to fight through several levels of a directory to find the good small business stuff took way too long because it's always buried below something else. I thought other small business owners might have the same issue."

Small business marketing consultant Diane Borre felt the same way. But on her first visit to the new blog directory, she spent over an hour browsing several of the blogs listed. "It's a terrific resource and now it's one of my favorite bookmarks," says Borre.

One of the biggest challenges for small business blog owners is getting people to read their blog once they've taken time to create it and post entries. The blog directory helps solve that problem.

"I added my blog, The Jordan Result for Small Business Success, to the blog directory the same day it was created," says Caroline Jordan, Small Business Expert and owner of The Jordan Result consulting firm. "Within a couple weeks I was seeing traffic to my website from my blog. Using the directory, I also discovered other informative small business blogs that I never knew existed. The internet is full of great advice and ideas for small business owners and the Small Business Blog Directory has made it so much easier to find."

The Small Business Blog Directory is uniquely focused on small business blogs whose purpose is to help other small business owners, entrepreneurs or independent professionals, by providing helpful tips, tools, tactics and resources. Any blog owner who publishes a blog that helps the small business market may add their blog to the directory. Each entry is human edited for quality control to ensure that the blog meets the objective of the directory. Additions may be submitted at http://blogsforsmallbusiness.com/directory/add.html
