Max Ivans of Look Effects Selected to be Panelist for the 2005 Visual Effects Society VES-VFX Festival

Renowned Visual Effects Supervisor to Speak on His Work on the Hit CBS Show CSI:NY

Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2005 -- Renowned Visual Effects Supervisor Max Ivins, of Hollywood visual effects firm Look Effects has been selected to serve as a panelist at the 2005 VES-VFX Festival, sponsored by the Visual Effects Society. The panel, which is taking place June 24th at 5 pm, focuses on the ANATOMY OF CSI" and will feature the creative teams behind all three CSI" shows (Vegas, Miami, New York).

Ivins, an industry veteran who has worked on projects such as Scooby Doo 2, Apollo 13, and Armageddon, serves as CSI: New Yorks Visual Effects Supervisor and oversees both the on-set effects shoots as well as the animation and compositing teams at Looks Hollywood facilities.

In the panel, which is being held at the Aero Theater in Santa Monica, Ivins and the other members of the visual effects team will discuss the use of groundbreaking visual effects in televisions hottest one-hour shows.

I am honored to be among my peers on the panel for CSI. I feel that the show has a lot of VFX elements that are extremely unique and definitely deserve to be highlighted at this event," said Ivins.

The Visual Effects Society is an organization comprised of visual effects professionals who desire to honor, advance and promote visual effects for its membership and the industry as a whole.
