Wall of Tolerance Honors Poet and Actor Jeanne Marie Spicuzza

International artist Jeanne Marie Spicuzza has been selected for inclusion on the Wall of Tolerance.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) June 29, 2005 -- Poet, actor and activist Jeanne Marie Spicuzza has been selected for inclusion on the Wall of Tolerance in the new Civil Rights Memorial Center in Montgomery, Alabama, which honors "those who are taking a personal stand against hate, injustice, and intolerance," thereby "leading the way toward a more just America." Ms. Spicuzza accepts this honor bestowed upon her by the National Campaign for Tolerance and founding chairs Morris Dees and Rosa Parks. The inaugural dedication is scheduled for October 23, 2005.

In the new foreword of her latest poetry collection, 'Beautiful Terrible & True,' Len Dacquisto writes, "Like her namesake Jeanne d' Arc, Jeanne came from humble beginnings in a small city and seeing a vision and purpose to her life, left her roots and traveled to a center of culture to marshal her forces and prepare for a long struggle against oppression, a mirror of her own struggle within."
