The showcase of the demonstration was having GWGuardian, Messaging Architects' Advanced Email Firewall application protecting a live GroupWise 7 Open Beta system that was scaled for demonstration purposes to include over 400,000 user accounts and mailboxes on a clustered server. At the Summit, Novell announced the immediate availability of the Open Beta of GroupWise 7. GroupWise 7 is expected to ship to customers later this summer.
During his keynote address and at the press conference following it, Ed Anderson, Vice-President of Product Marketing at Novell, reiterated the core values of GroupWise as a reliable, secure, and accessible messaging system. The launch of GroupWise 7 continues Novells commitment to provide enterprise customers with a powerful and tightly integrated collaboration experience.
