Full Tilt Poker's Representatives Rake in the Dough at the World Series of Poker

Representatives of fulltiltpoker.com have claimed more than 10.2% of the total prize pool through the first 24 open events at this year's WSOP.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) July 1, 2005 -- The professional poker players representing www.fulltiltpoker.com have been dominating the competition at the World Series of Poker, banking a total of $3,599,766 through the first 26 open events, or a stunning 10.2% of the total $35,233,448 prize pool awarded so far. Making those numbers even more impressive is that Full Tilt Poker's 27 representatives only accounted for approximately 2% of the total participants playing in the 26 open events in this year's WSOP.

The performances of the Full Tilt Poker representatives confirm the premise that poker is a game of skill rather than luck – a confirmation further substantiated by a variety of independent ranking systems that consistently list Full Tilt Poker representatives like Phil Ivey, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, and Erick Lindgren among the top 10 Players in the world.

Leading the way for www.FullTiltPoker.com is Allen Cunningham, who has won more than $956,000 thanks to his first-place finish in the $1,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event, and his fourth-place finishes in both the $5,000 Pot-Limit Hold 'em and $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha (with Rebuys) tournaments. Following close behind Cunningham are Erik Seidel, who has won more than $657,000, and Phil Ivey who has won more than $635,000 so far this year.

Seidel earned his seventh WSOP bracelet and more than $611,000 for winning the $2,000 No-Limit Hold 'em tournament. Since then, he has consistently added to his winnings with a number of strong finishes, including another final table appearance in the $2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, where he placed ninth. Ivey collected $635,603 and his fifth WSOP bracelet for winning the $5K Pot-Limit Omaha (with Rebuys) tournament.

Out of the approximately 19,500 entrants who have played in the World Series of Poker so far this year, 21 of Full Tilt Poker's 27 representatives have finished in the money in at least one tournament. In addition to Cunningham, Seidel, and Ivey, four other Full Tilt Poker representatives, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Perry Friedman, Toto Leonidas, and Layne Flack, have each won more than $150,000 each.

In addition to dominating the World Series of Poker, Full Tilt Poker's representatives are dominating the world of poker, according to Bluff Magazine. Five representatives of www.FullTiltPoker.com, John Juanda, Erick Lindgren, Phil Ivey, Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, and Jennifer Harman, ranked first, second, fourth, sixth, and seventh, respectively on the Bluff Player rankings.

Each Full Tilt Poker representative plays exclusively at www.FullTiltPoker.com where they spend several hours a week online helping amateur players learn the game by sharing their poker knowledge through real-time chats at the virtual tables.

"Team Full Tilt" is a select group of the world's finest professional poker players, including Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Andy Bloch, Phil Gordon (co-host, Celebrity Poker Showdown), Clonie Gowen, John Juanda, Jennifer Harman and others. Full Tilt Poker offers players the unique opportunity to play, chat, and learn with the best in the game. The 27 professional players who play at www.fulltiltpoker.com have a total of 38 World Series of Poker bracelets, and are looking to add several more to their collection in the remaining events over the next four weeks.
