Two must-follow rules to find the love of your life.
Having overcome hard times of her own, it became clear to author Becky Due that she wanted to help others. She went back to school, to study Journalism, Mass Media and Womens Studies and has been a guest speaker at the Womens Resource Center in Minnesota, and colleges throughout the Midwest for Sexual Assault Awareness week and Take Back the Night. Shes had extensive training at Victim Services, worked the 24-hour sexual assault crisis-line and was a Victim's Advocate where she offered one-on-one assistance and support to rape victims.
Due wrote "The Gentlemens Club, A Story for All Women" to help inspire us to reconnect with ourselves, release the unwanted baggage of our past and to open our hearts so we can live the lives we were meant to live.
Due has a childrens book due out this year with a percentage of sales going to Children of the Night," and her next novel to be released shortly after with a percentage of sales going to AIDS research. Due is also working on a play.
Due lives in Loveland, Colorado and part-time in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida but travels often concentrating on the nationwide distribution of her book. Shes been on several National Radio Shows, given numerous newspaper interviews and is planning a book signing tour this year. She also spends as much time as she can with her life partner, Scott.
My mission is to write novels that entertain, inspire, educate and remind us to take a look at social issues and where we fit in. I will always stand up for important issues that Im passionate about," Due says. "Ive found the only way to true happiness is to keep my morals and values in check, live a good life by staying true to myself, my career, people I love and maintain a sense of humor through it all. I want to be a part of making positive changes in our society. I want to speak out for the people who may not have the opportunities to do so. I want to be excited about the future, about life, and make this a better place for our children so they will have fewer struggles."
