PeTote Has Become the Exclusive Pet Carrier of American Airlines

PeTote by Janet Lee has struck a deal with American Airlines to become its exclusive authorized pet carrier. PeTote will soon manufacture a private line of carriers with the American Airlines company logo.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) July 12, 2005 -- PeTote by Janet Lee, a luxury line of handbags designed for carrying small pets, has struck a deal with American Airlines to become its exclusive authorized pet carrier. PeTote will manufacture a private line of carriers with the American Airlines company logo which will be available for purchase at all of the American Airlines terminals and check-ins throughout the U.S. and abroad.

PeTote teamed up with American Airlines to provide pet carriers to passengers which meet the current FAA regulations, thereby reducing the stress of traveling with pets. American Airlines customers will have a choice of purchasing carriers in three different styles, Kelle, Rio, or a Rolling Backpack. Each style comes in a variety of colors and some are accented with a snakeskin trimming. PeTote will also be manufacturing luggage tags and brochures with the American Airlines logo.

American Airlines customers had previously complained about the lack of pet carriers available through the airline. Their customers were hesitant to purchase pet carriers that were not endorsed by the airline and could potentially violate size regulations. So, American Airlines approached PeTote to collaborate on a line of pre-approved carriers, ones the airline could sell directly to their passengers. The partnership will have great benefits for the PeTote line. This license with American Airlines is going to expand our business growth and put us on top of the pet carrier market," said PeTote President Janet Lee, who was recently featured in Entrepreneur Magazine (August 2004).

PeTote pet carriers have been available since 2002 and are sold in over 400 boutiques nationwide and in ten countries internationally. PeTote was inspired by Janets dog Gorbie, and was designed to add the style of current hand bags to the functionality of pet carriers at an affordable price. Janet Lee, has also recently created a line of luxury Diaper Bags and is working on bringing the same style and functionality of her PeTote carriers to the baby market.
