The Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa, a Jackson Hole WY Hotel, Named #1 in Continental US and Canada by Travel + Leisure

The Rusty Parrot Lodge & Spa, a Jackson Hole hotel, was named the top hotel in the US and Canada by Travel + Leisure readers for 2005. This is the second consecutive year that the Rusty Parrot was recognized for it’s excellence by Travel + Leisure readers, last year it was rated #5. The hotel also made the worldwide list at number 7. For the annual World’s Best Awards list, Travel & Leisure readers are asked to rate recent experiences at hotels on criteria including rooms/facilities, location, service, restaurants/food and value.

Rusty Parrot owner, Ron Harrison, is very pleased with the recognition stating that “This award recognizes the level of service our staff has worked to achieve.” Harrison built the Rusty Parrot in 1990. He dreamed of a hotel in the Jackson Hole area that was different enough from what was available on the market that would be near the downtown shopping, art galleries and restaurants in Jackson’s Town Square.    The 31 room Rusty Parrot has proven itself as the choice of discerning travelers worldwide for excellence in lodging, dining and personal relaxation at the on site spa, The Body Sage.

The Wild Sage, the on-site 26 seat dining room, has also been noted for it’s excellence in Jackson dining. It is the only restaurant in the area to receive AAA’s 2004 Four-Diamond rating. Dinner in the Wild Sage is served in full view of an exhibition-style kitchen enabling guests to watch in awe of Chef Walker and his staff.
