Young Composer and Recording Artist Launches Music Catalog of More Than 60 Albums

American born composer and recording artist Luke Parkin unveils an original recorded catalog of 65 albums in the genres of contemporary classical, new age, experimental, ambient, electronica, and music for television and film.

(PRWEB) July 14, 2005 -- The 65 collections of compositions are now available in Hi-Fi MP3 Formats. They feature an impressive array of musical styles and influences from classical organ and piano music inspired by Bach, Liszt and Scriabin, to modern, French twentieth century music inspired by Oliver Messiaen as well as pop and ambient electronic music. The catalog is also home to dozens of commercial television clips, soundbites, and film music cues available for immediate licensing.

Parkin, age 26, has decided to issue the entire never before heard catalog as half music production library and half album showcase to the public in order to make his major body of work better known. The current opus is the result of music experiments and offerings in both the academic and commercial worlds of contemporary music.

Parkin says that his oeuvre is the culmination of a wide and varied musical experience. His output as a whole is demonstrative of his viewpoint, that new classical composers of serious music must do more to attract the interest of the listening public across genres.

Showcased in the collection are albums such as the Album Leaf Preludes, (nineteen preludes for piano)The Engine Album and MIMIK,(ambient electronic music) Harpworks, (new age music) Piano Etudes, ( neo classical music), and the Chrysalis Symphony, (electronic art music). The artist is responsible for having originated, composed, fully produced, and finalized all musical materials heard at www.lukeparkin.com. Plans for a full sheet music publication and distribution are in the works currently.

Parkin believes that this substantial debut release will demonstrate his viability as both a commercial and classical artist of great appeal that will be appreciated by those that love instrumental commercial music and contemporary art music respectively.

The site displays original album cover art and graphic illustrations by, Robert Beckner, a young American graphic designer based in Maryland, USA, www.bobbybeckner.com, and photography and graphic design by Erin Klingmann of Vancouver Island British Columbia.

Hi-Fi MP3's and press photos, are available for downloading and viewing. All musical content is available for listening and reviewing by publications. Inquire by e-mail at music at lukeparkin.com or by fax at 250-381-0003.
