The Face of Freedom Fourteen Days in Great Britain 2005

The 14 Days in Great Britain project in final pre-production stages sets the stage for a significant journey across the United Kingdom; unlike any other seen before.

West Hollywood, CA (PRWEB) July 16, 2005 -- Documentary and Photography crews from the USA are in final preparations for year two of the Face of Freedom project. On August 15 2005, David Gibbons Creator and Executive Producer in conjunction with Mad Brit Films will commence his latest project 14 Days in Great Britain. As part of a long-term program, the project's aim this year is to bring better understanding through the presentation of raw documentary interviews taken from everyday people across the United Kingdom. This is complemented by striking photography and dynamic narrative designed to bring collaborating artists and spectators together in sharing a common vision. It follows on from the project's first highly successful annual journey taken across the United States in 2004. This is ultimately accomplished by utilizing the combined strength's of the visual arts and a personal determination of its creator to communicate a single message devoid of any political agenda. That is the power of the human spirit in maintaining its determination to persevere in the defense of individual freedom, decency and fair play.

Following recent events Gibbons finds it even more important to distribute the material created through this project. "People find it hard if not impossible to take an objective approach to everyday problems and issues. They are however very capable of adopting a position of fair play. To initiate this choice involves access to education, exposure to the arts and indeed the provision of any vehicle that can raise dialogue and a passion to subsequently communicate better with fellow human beings. It is perhaps a lack of access to other cultures, which restricts our ability to understand each other's needs and beliefs. I hope that our pursuits can help to create a platform through which better understanding can take place."

"A very talented team of professionally seasoned artists combined with a carefully selected contingent of young people from the educational environment will work together incredibly hard to meet these goals. Their endeavors will provide spectators and documentary movie-goers with a dynamic viewing experience unlike any other they've ever encountered."

Agencies across the United Kingdom have shown amazing support in ensuring that the production has effective access to people and places as it takes its journey over the fourteen days. Educational establishments including Universities from Great Britain and the United States have also shown great interest and a sense of collaboration in offering students and post graduates an opportunity to participate. The paired learning environment and development of programs in the educational space are dynamic with a significant announcement scheduled for Bradford on August 21 during the Fourteen Day's tour.

General Information on 14 Days in Great Britain - The "Face of Freedom" is a unique creative, research and historical platform in the study of people and their lives. An incendiary mix of documentary, still portraits and passion exploring diversity and sociological interaction.
