(PRWEB) July 29, 2005 -- The 2005 Baystock Music Festival, part of the Budweiser True Music series, will feature three accomplished artists that have at least two things in common with each other: their shared desire to support a worthy cause and exciting new CD releases to showcase.

The Charitable Cause
All of the money raised will go directly to the Jessie Fund, a fundraising charity supporting the Maine Childrens Cancer Program, helping children and their familys cope with battling cancer.

The New Material
Cost of Living, the eighteenth album in the career of Grammy® winning artist Delbert McClinton will be released by New West Records on August 23rd. The album, produced by the artist and Gary Nicholson, is the first new studio recording by McClinton in over three years. The album is a collection of 13 newly recorded tracks, all of which McClinton had a hand in writing with the exception of Ill Change My Style," which comes from the classic repertoire of the legendary Jimmy Reed. Noteworthy songs include The Part I Like The Best," written with Glen Clark, his former partner in 70s Texas duo Delbert & Glen; One of The Fortunate Few," written with co-producer Nicholson, Al Anderson formerly of NRBQ and Tom Hambridge. Also included is Hammerhead Stew," a rollicking song co-written with John Barlow Jarvis and the poignant Your Memory, Me, and the Blues," written with Jim Weatherly, writer of many classics including Midnight Train to Georgia."

While James McMurtrys Childish Things isnt an overtly political record, the centerpiece has to be We Cant Make It Here," McMurtrys commentary on the current state of the union. I've always been a little put off by activists. So you know it's a dire situation when I have to become one myself," he explains. The response to the track was immediate and overwhelming and the song continues to be one of the most requested on stations across the country. Texas Monthly states "We Cant Make It Here is a seven-minute state-of-the-union mantra that looks at Bush claims of economic recovery and finds nothing but smoke and mirrors." Stephen King described the song as stark and wrenchingly direct, this may be the best American protest song since (Bob Dylans) ‘Masters of War."

Multiple Grammy Award nominee Cindy Bullens new CD, Dream #29, will be released nationally on LetsPLAY Records on Sept 20. The CD boasts special appearances by Elton John (playing killer honky-tonk piano on the title track), a sexy duet with fellow Baystock performer Delbert McClinton, and back-up vocal by 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Tim Wakefield. Simultaneously fun, brash, and emotional, Dream #29 is an absorbing collection of rock & roll, balancing poignant and introspective songs with a down-and-dirty rock & roll attitude. In their review of Dream #29, alternative country music magazine No Depression declared that Cindy Bullens deserves to be mentioned alongside such peers as Bruce Springsteen, John Hiatt, Bonnie Raitt and Steve Earle.

Baystock (www.baystockmusicfest.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for local charities through a mutual interest of professionals interested in giving something back to their community. Baystock 2005 is the third annual concert series produced by the Baystock team. Last years concert featured Lisa Loeb and raised over $20,000 for local charities.

The Jessie Fund. www.jessiefoundation.org The Jessie Bullens-Crewe Foundation and the Jessie Fund were founded in 1996 to honor the incredible spirit of this girl who died too soon - she was only eleven years old. Jessie died of cancer and her parents, Cindy Bullens and Dan Crewe, started the foundation and fund with the hope of fulfilling their daughter's deep desire to help people in need and to make the world a better place for everyone.
