Another Welsh Spiritual Revival

Is Wales (UK) going to experience a spiritual revival of a greater magnitude than the religious revival of 1904/5?

(PRWEB) August 6, 2005 -- Just over a hundred years ago in 1904/5, a religious revival was experienced in Wales led by Evan Roberts from Loughor that spread throughout Wales and around the world. Evan Roberts was a Calvinistic Methodist preacher who inspired many thousands of people with his teachings. The impact was felt throughout Wales and the wider world and is still talked about today. Where is that fire now? Why are many of the religious establishments declining and closing? What happened to the messages of hope and inspiration? Why are the teachings not reaching to the depths of our souls?

The overwhelming majority of people throughout the world say they want to live in peace, love and security. So what is it that we are missing? Why cant we create the type of society we all say we want. Our spirituality forms the core of our beliefs about life and about God; it permeates every aspect of our society. Our politics, welfare systems, religious teachings, education system, medical practices, defence mechanisms, immigration policies - every part of our lives is affected by what we believe about God and Life. They cannot be separated; they are interwoven into the threads of our everyday life. Could that be why political, economic and military solutions continue to fail? We have not and are not addressing the core belief that underpins it all.

Could it be that we have got God all wrong? What is it that God wants anyway? There is only one creator and that creator created us all, no matter what our race, creed, colour, religious beliefs or lack of them, or our sexual orientation. Can we at least consider the possibility that there is something about God and about Life that we do not know - the knowing of which could change everything. God created and loves us all –unconditionally. God is the Creator and the created, the seen and the unseen- God is everywhere and in everything. There is nothing that God is not, therefore God needs and wants nothing.

A group called Humanitys Team was set up spontaneously as a result of the inspirational and life- changing messages in a series of books called ‘Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. Ours is not a better way but another way that I believe will be the basis of the New Spirituality Revival in Wales and across the world. How do you feel about this, what is your heart telling you.
