Tradeportal Revs Up Corporate Branding Initiative With Nascar Sponsorship This Weekend

TradePortal NASCAR makes debut showing in Watkins Glen, NY.

IRVINE, Calif. (PRWEB) August 10, 2005 – TradePortal, a leading direct market access software innovator for retail and institutional markets, today announce that the TradePortal NASCAR will make its debut run this weekend, Aug. 13-14, in Watkins Glen, NY.

Driver Chris Cook will race the TradePortal NASCAR in the Busch Series' Zippo 200 on Aug. 13 and the NEXTEL Cup Sirius Satellite Radio at the Glen on Aug. 14.

The sponsorship of a NASCAR is the cornerstone of TradePortal's recently launched branding campaign to capture mindshare and establish awareness for their software technology. The branding initiative is a precursor to TradePortal's new product roll-out for its MarketMatrix software which is targeted to Marketing Making companies. MarketMatrix completes the company's software suite which offers the financial services industry the first integrated trading platform for retail, hedge funds and institutions.

According to David Smithey, TradePortal CEO, Speed, performance, reliability, control and team are five essentials for success in both racing and trading transactions."

Smithey continued, pointing to the dramatic and rapid shifts occurring in securities trading that require technology for control and performance and that "nothing can drive home this message better than what happens at a NASCAR race."

The Watkins Glen events will be Cook's third and fourth NASCAR races in 2005; following a 26th place finish (qualified 16th) at the Busch Series Mexico 200 in March and a 28th place finish (qualified 28th) at the Dodge/Save Mart 350 in June -- his debut race in the NEXTEL Cup Series. Cook will again drive for NEMCO Motorsports, under a 2005 partnership with Christine Marie Motorsports.
