Don Messer's Violin is Coming Home

Anouncement regarding Jubille National toue

Waterloo, Ontario (PRWEB) August 14, 2005 -- Canadas celebrated fiddle master, Frank Leahy, is hitting the road this fall with a toe-tapping celebration of Don Messers timeless music.

He'll kick off his long-awaited national tour with the Official launch of CBC published book"Don Messers violin—Canadas Fiddle" and the well recognized Jubilee show on October 5, 2005, at CBC headquarters in Toronto.

Musician, actor, writer, producer and entertainer, Frank Leahy is popular around the world for his high-energy performances and an incomparable flair for the fiddle.

Recently, the greatest honour in Canadian folk music was bestowed upon Frank when he was chosen to receive Don Messer's personal violin from the Messer Family.

I was given a priceless gift," recalls Leahy. Its both my responsibility and my distinct pleasure to share that gift with those who remember the golden era of folk music, and with the new fans who are discovering Dons music for the first time."
Along with the coveted violin, Mr. Leahy holds exclusive rights to the Don Messer name and image.

Critics raved over Leahys popular musical stage version of Don Messers Violin, which ran in Prince Edward Island for three years. Mr. Leahy is signed to CBC Records and has released his first CD entitled Don Messer's Violin. Sales of this recording have been the largest in CBC Records history.

Coming Home is part of the 2005 National Tour includes stops with the Jubilee Show in Halifax, Saint John, Moncton, Fredericto and other locations, between October 17th and 27th, 2005/

The 2005 National tour promises to be the best yet—not only because it will bring the legacy of Don Messer to Canadians across the country with the precious violin becoming once again alive in the hands of Frank Leahy. CBC published book—"Don Messers Violin—Canadas Fiddle" promises to warm-up the hearts of all those who cherish this truly Canadian treasure!
