Drugs and Kids in Edison Neighborhood Kalamazoo by Munawar Rasheed
Something has gone really wrong either with our kids or with us as parents. Kids in Edison neighborhood can easily be seen holding cigars in their hands blowing smoke clouds in the streets.
(PRWEB) August 21, 2005 -- Edison neighborhood located in the heart of beautiful city of Kalamazoo needs immediate attention of law enforcement authorities.
Although there is a satelite Police Station specially formed to deal with the issues of this neighborhood but it seems not enough. Kalamazoo Public Safety Department is also located next in next block but one can still easily notice young kids under fifteen blowing smoke in the air in every corner of the streets.
Many of them dont't find a regular cigarette enough for them so they move to next stage. They use different kinds of drugs and surprisingly they have all the access to drug distribution channels. Professor Don Cooney (city commissioner and WMU faculty member) is doing a great job working on poverty reduction programs to help the poor people of this neighborhood. No doubt, poverty reduction is an important area to focus on but i was wondering if how come people from this poor neighborhood can afford to use expensive drugs specially the kids?
