Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan announces new Director of Engineering

The Asphalt Pavment Association of Michigan is pleased to announce that Chuck Mills has joined the staff as Director of Engineering. Cuck brings to the Association 17 years of experience in diversified engineering and construction that includes surveying, design, construction inspection, field enginereing and pavement performance evaluation. Chuck will work closely with MDOT, other public and private pavement owners to provide high quality pavements.

LANSING, MI (PRWEB) August 24, 2005 -- The Asphalt Pavement Association of Michigan (APAM) is pleased to announce that Charles E. Mills, P.E. has joined the staff as Director of Engineering.

Mr. Mills received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University. He brings to the Association seventeen years of diversified engineering and construction experience including surveying, design, construction inspection, field engineering and pavement performance evaluation. Having previously worked for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and two engineering firms, he has been involved in a variety of civil infrastructure, private development and highway projects.

As APAMs new Director of Engineering, Mr. Mills will work closely with MDOT, other public and private pavement owners and APAM members to provide high quality asphalt pavements. He brings an outstanding combination of practical experience and technical knowledge that will greatly benefit our members."
Prior to joining APAM, Mr. Mills served jointly as Director of Technical Services for the Michigan Infrastructure & Transportation Association (MITA) and the Michigan Pavement Association (MPA).

Chuck lives in Grand Ledge with his wife Anita and their four children, sons Vincent 8, Emery 2; and daughters, Veronica 7, Victoria 4.

APAM was formed on June 8, 2005 by the merger of the Michigan Asphalt Paving Association and the Michigan Pavement Association. The producer members of APAM are responsible for the vast majority of the Hot Mix Asphalt used to build and maintain Michigan roads, streets and parking facilities.
