(PRWEB) September 26, 2005 -- STAR ECO Station transforms into a fantastical and safe trick or treat village for a totally unique Halloween adventure. Knock on mystery doors and get ready for fun and surprises at every turn!

Enter through the gates of the “Lost City” and explore the jungle passages of this exotic wildlife rescue center.

See what's brewing in the witch's cauldron! Hoedown in the ghost town! Steal pirate's booty on our treasure island! With slithering snakes, spooky tarantulas, and scary alligators it's a Halloween haunt to die for...if you dare!!!

The event is for all ages. October 29-30, 1 pm-7 pm at the STAR ECO Station, 10101 Jefferson Blvd in Culver City. Call 310 842 8060 x122, or visit www.starinc.org and www.ecostation.org for more information.

STAR ECO Station, a non-profit environmental education museum and wildlife rescue center, located in Culver City, CA. Founded in 1997 by Erick, Sr. and Katya Bozzi, and their children, Erick, Jr. and Katiana Bozzi, the STAR ECO Station is dedicated to its mission of Preservation Through Education and offers the most innovative, interactive and inspiring environmental education programs for its students and the community.

In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, STAR ECO Station provides rescue and rehabilitation of illegal or abandoned at-risk exotic wildlife at our 18,000 square-foot facility in Culver City, as well as provides environmental education outreach programs, in over 40 California school districts. Through assemblies, classroom instruction, community events, fieldtrips, summer camps, children’s birthday parties and tours of the rescue facility, STAR ECO Station inspires learners of all ages.

Visitors experience hand-on lessons of ecology and environmentalism on a wild and fun encounter with rescued tropical birds, exotic reptiles, wildcats and ocean life in a tropical setting. Environmental partnerships enhance the station with 15 educational displays from such organizations as the World Wildlife Fund, US Fish and Wildlife Service, Surfrider, and Santa Monica BayKeeper’s unique walk-thru Kelp Forest and storm drain display.

There exists an alarming, widespread lack of knowledge and compassion for the Earth, which we passionately believe can be reversed through educating children. Aligned with California State Standards for environmental science, the STAR ECO Station’s interdisciplinary, hands-on lessons of compassion and empathy for the natural world inspire children to a understand their role in conservation, resource management and responsible consumerism.

STAR ECO Station hosts a variety of special events throughout the year, including community events, workshops, conferences and birthday parties.

Voted “Best Place to see Animals,” LA Family Magazine, 2002. “Best Teaching Zoo/Animal Rescue in 2003,” LA Parent Magazine.

To underwrite this event, or to sponsor a room or activity in our trick-or-treat village please call Dana Bean at 310.842.8040 x 123, or STAR's Development Director Annie Nisbet at x 131.
