Talk Show Focusing On Disabilities Makes Worldwide Impact Online

If you are one of 56 million Americans with a disability who have wanted a place to be heard and understood by others, then tune in online to DisAbility News & Views Radio every Tuesday and Sunday.

(PRWEB) September 1, 2005 -- The idea of a radio talk show, DisAbility News & Views Radio Show, was conceived several years ago when Monica Moshenko was sharing information about autism and special education advocacy as she appeared many times on local TV programs and radio interviews. Ms. Moshenko couldn't believe that there wasn't a radio program solely focusing on the needs of people with disabilities locally or nationally.

She said, "there was a huge void in talk radio for people with disabilities and their families. I am just filling it."

Our TALK makes a difference.
In June 2004 Monica started broadcasting her own radio show at a local radio station and paid for the airtime each week to provide a forum for people with disabilities to share, educate and inspire the public.

Ms. Moshenko said, "So many people would call or email me and ask for the show to be heard in their area too."

The internet was the logical place the show to go for listeners to interact with guests and topics being discussed. DisAbility News & Views began broadcasting live online on Tuesday, August 30 at 11:30 AM EDT and will also broadcast another live show every Sunday at 10:00 EDT at www.disabilitynewsradio.com. Past shows are available on the website along with many resources. Future plans include syndicating the show with a national radio network and broadcasting live five days a week.

Monica Moshenko, mother of three children and advocate, is host of DisAbility News & Views Radio Show. Her son Alex was diagnosed with a high functioning form of autism called Asperger Syndrome when he was six years old. Alex has been the inspiration and motivation her efforts to raise awareness and educate the public. To say Monica is passionate about making this radio show a viable network to be heard is like saying Donald Trump and Martha Stewart are middle income people. Monica spent over $20K of her money while often behind paying her own household bills to make the show work. Thankfully some businesses share Monica's mission and passion to make a difference on the radio show and proud sponsors including Future Horizons, Inc., People, Inc., ABC Therapeutics, Autistic Services, Solution ComfortSeat, DT Trainer and Laureate Learning.

Opportunities for sponsorship and advertising on DisAbility News & Views Radio Network are available now. Contact Monica at 716-522-9185.

Their motto is "Our TALK makes a difference." Will you?
