Baltimore Improv Group Will Perform Benefit Show for Hurricane Relief; Proceeds Will Be Donated to Red Cross

The Baltimore Improv Group has converted its Sept. 17 improv comedy show into a fundraiser for victims of Hurricane Katrina. All ticket sales will be donated to the American Red Cross.

Baltimore, Maryland (PRWEB) September 3, 2005 -- The Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) will perform a night of improv comedy scenes and games to raise funds for organizations helping victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The show will take place on Sept. 17, 2005, at 7:30 p.m. on the stage of Christ Lutheran Church, 701 S. Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The church is located across from the Maryland Science Center at Baltimores Inner Harbor.

BIGs Board of Directors decided to convert the previously scheduled show into a fundraiser after the scope of the disaster became known. "All of us wanted to do something," said Heather Moyer, BIGs Artistic Director. "We hope this will make a difference."

In improvised theater, there is no script. During the show, BIGs Few Bricks Shy ensemble comedy troupe will create scenes by inventing plot, dialog and characters suggested by the audience.
