Facelift Entertainment to Create 52 Episodes of Monstories Series for Cartoon Network, for broadcast in their 2005/06 season.
Vancouver, BC Canada (PRWEB) September 7, 2005 -- Facelift Entertainment Inc. confirmed today the order of 52 episodes of their award-winning animated series Monstories by Cartoon Network U.S. for their 2005/2006 broadcast lineup.
"We're truly excited about this deal," announced Monstories' Creator/Director, Lance Taylor, "and we couldn't ask for a better broadcast home in the U.S. than Cartoon Network. We're longtime fans of their programming, and we look forward to bringing the gang from Monstories to the network." The deal includes the original five Monstories episodes previously produced by Facelift, and the creation of 47 new episodes.

Monstories contain the adventures of two mischievous monsters, Max and Mel, with an eclectic cast of "monster actors." Independent of dialogue, Monstories transcend language barriers with global appeal and timeless humor. Presented in colorful one-minute shorts featuring quality computer graphics, hand-drawn animation techniques and original gypsy music scores, the original five Monstories episodes are well traveled in the festival circuit, from France (Annecy) to China (Cicdaf) to Brazil (AnimaMundi). Recent awards include "Best TV Series" from Cineme (Chicago) and the "Audience Grand Jury" prize at Glitchfast (Montreal).
