The Brooke Trace Gallery September Exhibit Opening will feature a selection of original artwork from Haiti held over from August. The Haitian artists styles display a folk art expression of spontaneity and simplicity. Sales from this artwork will go to The Friends of Haiti to be used for their collaborative efforts to support educational, humanitarian, cultural, and environmental projects.

The Gallery also hosts original artwork ranging from watercolor and oil on canvas to photography and sculpture. These artists include Kimberly Peterson, Jesse Thoreson, John Bowen, Irwin Weintraub, Tripp Harrison, Ashton Howard, Lynn Desaulniers, Michael Turner, Max Gold, Brooke Trace, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and more. The Gallery has an eclectic and unique collection of artwork and artists.

This event will again feature a special guest appearance by vocalist Miriam Leah Sherwood. The Brooke Trace Gallery and other local businesses have donated many wonderful items for the Silent Auction being held between 6:00 pm and 9:30 pm.

The second Friday of the month has been selected for opening of the months latest featured exhibit at the Brooke Trace Gallery. Other special sponsors include The New Auto Toy Store and The Aqua Toy Store. Refreshments and complimentary hors doeuvres will be served and a cash bar.
