However, it is impossible for firewalls and content scanners to scan SSL encrypted webtraffic, hence making encryption an easy backdoor for hackers. Weak registration processes and ineffective revocation checking of digital certificates only add to the problem. SCIP enables any content security scanner such as Antivirus, Java/Active X filters and Intrusion Detection to scan, inspect, manage and control SSL encrypted traffic and checks any digital server certificate for validity and revocation status.
