NRI of the Year Achiever Award 2005 Was awarded to Dubai-based Dermatologist Dr. Mahaveer Mehta Sept. 15, 2005

Dr. Mahaveer Mehta MD, Dubai-based Dermatologist, was awarded NRI of the year Achiever Award 2005 at the International NRI conference held in Dubai on Sept. 15, 2005 at Dubai Creek Sheraton Hotel. His Excellency C M Bhandari Ambassador of India to UAE and Mr.Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair presented the award to Dr. Mehta on behalf of the NRI Institute. Among those who graced the occasion in the presence of large gathering of local and international dignitories including His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Yash Sinha, Council General of India, Keith Vaz, member of British House of Commons and other international dignitaries from several countries.

(PRWEB) September 18, 2005 -- Dr. Mahaveer Mehta MD, Dubai-based Dermatologist, was awarded NRI of the year Achiever Award 2005 at the International NRI conference held in Dubai on Sept. 15, 2005, at Dubai Creek Sheraton Hotel. His Excellency Ambassador of India to UAE and Mr.Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair presented the award to Dr. Mehta on behalf of the NRI Institute. Among those who graced the occasion in the presence of large gathering of local and international dignitaries including His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Excellency Council General of India, Keith Vaz, member of British House of Commons, Chairman of NRI Institute Mr.Rasik Patel, Secretary General Mr.Jagmohan Singh and other international dignitaries from several countries.

It was an evening worth remembering. A charity auction of a painting of the Westminister House signed by British Prime Minister Tony Blair fetched 13,000 pounds during the function and the money will be used for a nobel cause - to set up India's first ever fully equipped Mobile Breast Cancer Detection Unit. The Mobile Unit will offer free services, will be launched by the end of this year and will help in an early detection and awareness of Breast Cancer. This Unit is part of Roko cancer appeal campaign.
