Fillthatjob.com Hits the Street to Help the Homeless

Fillthatjob.com partnered with a Pinellas County non-profit organization, Homeless Emergency Project, Inc. (HEP), to assist in economic development efforts by providing jobs to the homeless and less fortunate.

Clearwater, FL (PRWEB) September 21, 2005 -- Fillthatjob.com a Clearwater based Company known as the employment matchmaker, hit the streets this month to help the homeless. Launched to the public just five months ago, the overwhelming success of its proprietary software, that matches great people to great jobs scientifically, has provided the opportunity for fillthatjob.com to help the underprivileged.

Fillthatjob.com partnered with a Pinellas County non-profit organization, Homeless Emergency Project, Inc. (HEP), to assist in economic development efforts by providing jobs to the homeless and less fortunate. HEP is a non-profit organization that feeds, shelters and houses people who have nowhere else to go but the street. Fillthatjob.com will continue to work together with HEP in economic developments that could assist Pinellas County. HEP is helping decrease the number of hospitalizations due to providing shelter and food to the homeless.

In 2003 the Florida Office of Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability, estimated the state homeless population of 68,785 to 76,675. The same year, the State Department of Children and Families, reported on Homeless Conditions in Florida posted that there are only 27,388 emergency beds for homeless people in the state, enough for just 36 percent. In Pinellas County there are over 4,500 homeless adults and children on any given night, yet there are less than 600 emergency shelter beds available in Pinellas County (2004 Continuum of Care Gaps Analysis Chart).

We're proud to present job opportunities to the homeless people in our community. Our goal is to have the less fortunate feel value and self worth by becoming gainfully employed. We are very pleased to have these individuals as an extension of our street teams for this highly targeted campaign," said Heather Donaho, vice president of operations for fillthatjob.com.

I feel that it's imperative to share our good fortune with our own community, I just wish we could do more," said Joe Webb, CEO of fillthatjob.com. Fillthatjob.com has developed proprietary software; Candidate, Career Opportunity Match Program (CCOMP) matches great people to great jobs scientifically. We said if it works for an individual looking for a mate, it will work for an individual looking for a career," said Joe Webb, chief executive officer of fillthatjob.com.
