(PRWEB) September 27, 2005 -- Oklahomas scenic Grand Lake will host hundreds of motorcyclists for the annual OctoberTest observed trials competition. Top riders from across the nation, and possibly the world, will compete for a $2500 purse and prizes. The two-day event is part of the Central Regional Championship Series.

The 2005 Gas Gas OctoberTest is set for October 22-23, 2005 rain or shine in Langley, Oklahoma. The competition will take place along the rocky spillway area below the Pensacola Dam. Entry fees for competitors are $25 each day or $40 for both days. Classes are available to accommodate riders of all skill levels, including a Vintage Bike and Womens class. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.

Observed trials is a unique motorsport that tests the riders agility and balance over a course of obstacles and tight turns. Speed is not the objective. In fact many riders will stand completely still as they negotiate the more treacherous sections. Spectators enjoy the sport because of the close proximity to action and the relatively quiet machines. If a motorsport were ever considered for the Olympics, it would probably be observed trials.

The annual OctoberTest event is organized by the Northeast Oklahoma Trials Team (www.neott.com). The group sponsors observed trials competitions around the state and classes for those wanting to learn more about riding observed trials motorcycles. Anyone wishing to learn more about the club, observed trials or the OctoberTest event can contact NEOTT or visit their web site for more information.
