Auction for Hurricane Relief Lets You Chat with Celebrities

BECharitable.org is auctioning off ten-fifteen minute phone calls with celebrity writers, producers, and actors to raise money for hurricane disaster relief.

ASHLAND, Ore. (PRWEB) September 29, 2005 -- Have you ever wanted the opportunity to talk to your favorite television or movie celebrity, be it a writer, creator, producer, or even actor? Want to do more to help with hurricane disaster relief? Now you can do both!

BECharitable.org is auctioning off a chance to talk with some of the people who work hard to keep you entertained and at the same time you'll be helping raise money for the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund and the AKC Canine Support to assist both people and pets impacted by hurricanes.

He is a sample of just some of the celebrities involved:

Writers/Producers: Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and Serenity), Tim Minear (Angel, Wonderfalls, Firefly, The Inside), and David Fury (Buffy, Angel, Lost, 24)

Actors: Stephanie Romanov (Angel, The Final Cut), John Billingsly (Angel, Star Trek: Enterprise), Camden Toy (Buffy, Angel), Dennis Christopher (Roswell, Angel, The Profiler), and more

Here are the details:
For one week beginning October 1st, a 10 or 15 minute (determined by the celebrity) phone call will be auctioned off to raise money for the Red Cross & AKC Canine Support. The winning bidder will be contacted by a representative from BECharitable.org about scheduling the phone call. The actual call will take place between October 28 and November 4, 2005. Three dates and times during that period will be provided by the celebrity and the winning bidder will choose the time that is most convenient for them. After the date and time is set, the winning bidder will provide a phone number where they can be reached. This information will be forwarded to the celebrity.

The celebrity will be making the call via a pre-paid phone card with all unused minutes to be donated to the Red Cross and given to displaced families so they can call their family and friends and keep in touch.

There maybe some discussion topics set per the celebritys request, these will be posted on their auction page if there are none listed then the topics are pretty much open. Also please be polite, it is at the celebritys discretion to end the call before the allotted time if they feel the conversation is offensive.
