'No Teacher Left Behind' Addressing Overlooked Side of U.S. Educational System

New year-long program equipping educators with the skills they need to meet congressional standards.

Lake Tahoe, NV (PRWEB) September 28, 2005 -- Repario Ltd., a full-service provider of team-building training and development resources, today unveiled its No Teacher Left Behind program. Designed specifically with school administrators and teachers in mind, the year-long program aims to equip educators with the education, experience and tools they need to meet the exacting standards set forth by President Bush's No Child Left Behind Act. School administrators who are interested in learning more about the program can visit No Teacher Left Behind online at www.noteacherleftbehind.us.

Ratified by Congress in 2001, the central focus of the No Child Left Behind Act is to improve the performance of America's primary and secondary schools. To accomplish this goal, the act increases the accountability standards of states and school districts, with ultimate responsibility for students' success falling on educators' shoulders. Among its list of stipulations, the act requires that all teachers be "highly qualified," as defined by the law, by the end of the current school year.

In a statement before the House Budget Seminar in June 2003 -- just nineteen months after the No Child Left Behind Act had been passed—National Education Association President Reg Weaver revealed some sobering statistics. In California alone, more than 3,000 teachers had already been handed their pink slips thanks to No Child Left Behind guidelines and unfulfilled promises. Even more startling, 4,000 educational support professionals had been fired in the state prior to this mass reduction.

Despite its well-meant intentions, the No Child Left Behind Act fails to address how administrators and teachers are supposed to go about meeting its stringent demands. That's where Repario Ltd.'s No Teacher Left Behind program steps in to bridge the gap.

Instead of urging that children be treated like assembly line products who are known by their passing test scores rather than by name, the No Teacher Left Behind program endeavors to arm teachers with the team-player skills they need to navigate No Child Left Behind's exacting educational requirements. Upon completion of the program, educators will be able to capably lead student-centered classrooms in which students take a more active role in their own education. The end result will be a more positive learning environment, shared accountability for success across teachers and students, a positive team culture and motivational recognition for performance. Above all else, the program strives to ensure students do not miss out on the best educators the nation has to offer.
