Sierra Mist Presents Men in Kilts, Women in Miniskirts, an Urban Celtic Celebration

Sierra Mist invites the public to attend the 6th Annual Kilt & Mini Bash, an evening of Celtic-inspired merriment. Guests can show some leg to benefit the Seattle theatre arts community by donning a kilt or miniskirt Saturday, May 14th.

SEATTLE, WA (PRWEB) April 27, 2005 -

inspired Celebration – the Kilt & Mini Bash – at 8 PM, Saturday, May 14th. Guests will enjoy a lavishly themed evening featuring men wearing kilts, women wearing miniskirts, live music from Northwest dance bands, contests, prizes and many untold surprises to delight the senses.

The Kilt & Mini Bash will feature a dynamic evening of Celtic-inspired merriment and nonstop excitement. Contests for the evening include a Hula Hoop Contest and photo contest inviting guests to vote for the Sexiest Kilted Male, Sexiest Female in a Mini, Hottest Couple & Most Outrageous Outfit. The evening will feature musical performances by Northwest artists Tiny Giants, Miles from Chicago & “Neil The Piper” Hubbard.

Over the years, the Bash has attracted popular media attention due to the event's requirement that all men wear kilts and women miniskirts. To ensure full guest participation the Bash charges a Lame Tax to guests who show up to the event improperly attired (i.e. without kilt or mini). Hence, such guests are presented with the choice between paying an additional $100 Lame Tax or purchasing a kilt or miniskirt onsite in order to gain entry to the event.

General admission tickets are $29 per person in advance, $40 cash at the door. Tickets may be purchased by phone at (800) 838-3006 through Brown Paper Tickets or online via the official website http://www.KiltandMini.com

Sponsors for the 2005 Kilt & Mini Bash include Sierra Mist, Absolut, Red Bull, Pike Brewing's Kiltlifter Beer, Pepsi and Seattle Homewood Suites by Hilton.

The Bash is a fundraiser for Northwest theatrical arts nonprofit 4D Theatrics. 4D is a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to advance education and access to practical knowledge for individuals pursuing a course of study in the four theatrical arts disciplines of sound, lighting, costuming & scenic design.
