The Nurse Practitioner excels in the clinic and hospital rounds as case manager.
Willing to train new NP or PA grads, but prefer experience. Salary is dependent on experience, but very attractive. Excellent benefit package. Orthopedic Surgical Physician Assistant Needed for greater DC Region Orthopedic Physician Assistant needed for 10 MD Ortho Surgeon group. This will be primarily a day position, expected to be 8 hours /day, between 7A and 5P,M-F, with minimum call. 40 hours per week with OT over 40 hours. Surgeries are mostly general Ortho including hip, knee, leg, shoulder, etc. It is anticipated that distribution of the assignment will be approximately 50% time 1st assist/OR, with the remainder spent in pre op assessment, post op care to include PACU & Hospital Units managing patient care needs.
The successful Orthopedic Physician Assistant must have a minimum of 2 yrs experience with strong OR skills, excellent technical abilities, willingness and ability to learn new skills and excellent interpersonal communication. This Ortho Physician Assistant will represent the practice in numerous situations and must be willing and able to project a professional manner. Salary range starts in the mid 80s and up. Benefits and very good.
