Untold millions of dollars are being spent annually by internet marketers trying to increase the flow of qualified traffic to their websites. The overwhelming majority of these sites have one major goal in mind - lead generation. However, many website owners are unaware of how to optimize their site to gather a steady supply of qualified sales leads.
This quick ten point checklist is offered in hopes of helping dispel some of the mysteries shrouding the entire concept of maximizing the lead generation potential of individual and corporate websites. LeadsSolution.Com would like you to keep the following in mind:
.Keep it clean – A website without a bunch of clutter and that has easy, congruent navigation menus will generate more leads.
.Make it quick – Limit your graphics, flash and multi-media files unless they have a real purpose. It is said you only have 6 seconds to capture a website visitor, don’t waste that time loading the page.
.It’s all about conversion – Manage your PPC and other paid ads for conversions not clicks. What good is traffic that doesn’t convert?
.Create trust – You will not generate leads from a website that does not radiate trustworthiness. Little things, like a phone number on each page or testimonials can make a huge difference in promoting credibility and trust.
.Copy is the key – Your website copy needs to be compelling, informative and lead the reader to take the desired action.
.Pre-qualify leads with content not questions – By clearly spelling out your offer and any pre-qualifications needed it will not be necessary to have as many questions on your form.
.Shorter forms make for better leads – Highly qualified and highly educated prospects guard their personal information closely; keep forms short, only asking questions that are absolutely necessary.
.Make it easy – Have a form on every page or at least on every page that it makes sense, don’t make your visitors have to search to contact you.
.Sweeten the deal – Give away free information like a special report, newsletter or eBook to entice visitors to fill out your form. Make sure the information is “on topic” or your lead quality will suffer.
.Communicate in the right language and add personality – Using plain language that communicates the personality of the Company will build trust and rapport.
