OBE for UK Recruitment Entrepreneur Penny Streeter in New Years Honours

Penny Streeter has been awarded an OBE in the 2006 New Years Honours for ‘services to women’s enterprise and to business.’

Penny Streeter and her mother Marion set up family-owned Ambition 24hours in 1996, without investors or bank funding. Revenue is now £60 million, with no borrowings, and the company has featured in the ‘Fast Track 100’ of fastest growing companies for three years.

Penny Streeter was ‘CBI Entrepreneur of the Year, 2003’ and is the ‘Management Today’ top woman entrepreneur. She is a regular commentator in the media and speaker on the conference platform on a range of issues of importance to entrepreneurs - in particular on the obstacles imposed by an ever-increasing volume of legislation in the work-place.
