Scranton, PA (PRWEB) January 3, 2006
Sundance Vacations has won the coveted 2005 Torch Award from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania. This prestigious honor is presented to select companies judged to exemplify the BBB’s stringent criteria of superior ethics and customer service.
Sundance Vacations specializes in prepaid wholesale accommodations programs with lodging in more than 100 resort areas within the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean. Headquartered in Wilkes Barre, Sundance operates Pennsylvania offices in King of Prussia and Warrendale; as well as locations in Rockaway and Princeton, New Jersey; Downer’s Grove, IL and Brookfield, Wisconsin. BBB judges selected Sundance based upon its “commitment to maintain a culture which consistently sets exceptionally high standards of behavior in buyer and seller relationships,” and Sundance’s awareness of “the importance of corporate conscience and responsibility in fulfilling a company’s obligation to the marketplace to do what is right and fair.”
Sundance President, John Dowd, accepted the award from WNEP-TV’s Marissa Burke. Says Dowd, “The biggest winner is the public and the consumers of all of the companies that strive for awards like this one. Because when business owners focus on customer satisfaction we all win.” Adds CEO Tina Dowd, “This is also an award for our employees. Because although John and I set Sundance’s customer service policies, it’s the nearly 400 employees of our conglomerate that implement those policies to benefit our loyal customers.”
The northeast Pennsylvania winner will be eligible to win a national Better Business Bureau Torch Award. The national award will be decided during a BBB convention scheduled to be held in Vancouver, Canada in 2006.
