RSPS - Second Home Market Designation Announced: Vacation Finance Presents at Hawaii NAR Conference

National Association of Realtors (NAR) recognizes an exploding need for Realtor Specialists in the second home and resort niche with new designation.

(PRWEB) January 2, 2006 -- Vacation Finance, America's First Second-Home Lender is sponsoring the sold-out conference on Resort & Second Home Real Estate in Hawaii on February 5-8, 2006. It is the first conference to present The National Association of Realtor's (NAR) newest designation Resort & Second-Home Property Specialist (RSPS).

NAR says "The RSPS certification will appeal to Realtors in resort and second-home markets around the world who wish to distinguish themselves amongst their peers and amongst consumers. NAR currently defines a Realtor specializing in resort & second-Home markets as “a real estate practitioner who facilitates the buying, selling, or management of properties for investment, development, retirement, or second homes in a resort, recreational and/or vacation destination."

NAR reported in their 2005 survey of homebuyers that nearly 1/3 of all homes sold last year were for second home uses. Since buying and financing second home is a unique niche, with special challenges, expertise in this growing market is needed.

Vacation Finance www.vacation-finance.com has a track record of innovating second home financing, and is a leader in traditional cottage, condo hotel, fractional and timeshare financing. "As baby boomers turn 50 years old at record numbers again in 2006, we expect the market for unique second home to boom," said Bob Waun, CEO of Vacation Finance. "This is why we are proud to be a part of NAR's second home initiative."

Based in Michigan and Florida, Vacation Finance has a unique niche in the second home lending arena. "We are looking at agressive expansion in 2006," stated Waun in an interview at the IMN conference on Condo Hotel Development in December 2005 where over 700 development and real estate professionals discussed the future of this young industry.
