REDMOND, Washington (PRWEB) January 3, 2006
BetterPhoto.com, the worldwide leader in online photography education, today announced four new courses for its Winter quarter. The online photography school, the largest and most comprehensive on the web, will add to its curriculum a new year-long course, "The Complete Digital Photographer" taught by President Jim Miotke.
"This is one of the strongest set of courses we've offered in our nearly 10 years teaching photography online," said Jim Miotke, President of BetterPhoto.com. "Our instructors are not only published professional photographers, they all are great educators and offer unique and valuable points of view."
In the one-year course, students will learn, among many topics, to recognize the various qualities and conditions of light, and will learn how to work it into stunning imagery. Jim, a professional photographer for 20 years, author of two how-two books on photography (with a third coming this summer), is a popular speaker and radio guest across the country on digital photography. His expertise and friendly and approachable teaching style will bring students on a year-long journey to deepen their digital photography skills and knowledge.
Additionally, renowned photographer Jim Zuckerman is adding another eight-week class to his course schedule in the Winter quarter: "Perfect Digital Exposure" and wedding photography expert Paul Gero comes on board to teach "Digital Wedding Photography".
Also joining the strong roster of professional photographers teaching online at BetterPhoto is Tim Cooper, who is offering two four-week short courses in January and February, "Understanding Natural Light". Tim began his career as a commercial and assignment photographer working with clients such as The North Face, Vasque boots, 3M and The International Heart Institute. His editorial and commercial photographs have appeared in Travel & Leisure, New York Times Magazine, Outdoor Photographer, Fly Rod & Reel, Northern Lights and Private Clubs as covers, advertising, art and editorial illustration. He has been teaching photography since 1993.
