Author Behlor Santi Launches Her Personal and Business Website
Author Behlor Santi launches personal and business website. Offers markets and jobs subscription service for freelance writers, publishes a monthly ezine for literary fiction, and has a blog on the intersection of art and politics. Wants to offer something different from well-known writing websites like WritersWeekly.com and AbsoluteWrite.com.
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 1, 2006 -- Published nonfiction and fiction writer Behlor Santi has just launched her personal and business website, behlorbernicesanti.com. Santi first started work on the site in November 2005.
"I'm quite excited about working on and launching my site," says Santi. "Behlorbernicesanti.com will not be your typical freelance writing site."
Currently, the site offers three services for writers and readers.
The first service offers customized freelance writing markets for scribes new and experienced. Interested writers contact Behlor Santi and answer questions related to their business. After answering the questions, writers become part of a subscription service. They receive ten markets every day, and can choose between monthly and yearly payments. As of December 2005, the monthly fee is US$4.85 and the yearly fee is US$48.
"Other writing websites offer markets through e-newsletters and secure sites," says Santi. "I wanted to provide something different. It's hard for writers like myself to find fresh markets, and I wanted to get the most up-to-date information. I want to be better than WritersMarkets.com and WritersWeekly.com."
Another service provided at behlorbernicesanti.com is The Ezine, a paying market for literary short stories.
"They're a million online magazines out there," says Santi, "and it's too bad that most of them don't pay." For The Ezine, Santi wants mature, sophisticated fiction with an edge. "I won't publish strictly genre stories," she says. "Tom Clancy and Danielle Steel won't find a place here. However, I'm open to romantic and war stories that are deep and effective." The first edition of the monthly Ezine comes out in February 2006. As of December 2005, the payment for stories are US$12.
Finally, Santi has a blog named advertising myself, of course (http://advertisingmyself.blogspot.com). She says that this blog will discuss the intersection of art and politics. Santi defines art and politics loosely. "Art can be writing, painting, or raising children. Politics can be voting the Republicans out of Congress, or fighting racism and sexism in the media. Politics can even be being frugal--waiting for sales instead of buying retail on your credit card."
Santi plans to update the blog at least three times a week, and to publish at least one story in each edition of The Ezine. In addition to these services and the subscription service, Santi wants to raise money for an annual print magazine. She wants to publish the first edition in 2007. "I want a semi-literary magazine," she says. "I want great fiction and poetry alongside hard-hitting journalism."
