Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets has teamed up with the NFL and NBA to provide both organizations with floral arrangements and has also joined the National Association of Women Business Owners.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 2, 2006 -- Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets has been a major player in the Houston Texans’ annual style show and is now looking forward to teaming up with the NBA during the All-Star Game here in Houston next February. Elaine Ousley-Nevarez, owner of Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets, became a member of the Houston chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners this past October.

Houston Texans Style Show
On Monday, October 24th, the Houston Texans hosted their fourth annual charity Style Show at the Houston Galleria’s Polar Ice Rink. Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets donated floral arrangements to the event, which benefited a variety of charities such as Boys and Girls Country, Child Advocates, Heart of a Champion, John P. McGovern Museum of Health and Medical Science, and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Elaine Ousley-Nevarez, owner of Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets, attended and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She said, “At the Style Show, the actual players and their wives were the models. The Houston Texans Foundation hosts several fundraising events throughout the year, and as in years past, they contacted us to assist with their floral needs. This is our third year, and it's great to work with the home team.”

NBA All-Star Game
This past August, Elaine met with Kavon Iranpour, a representative of the NBA’s Diversity program, which works with women and minority owned businesses. During the meeting, they discussed which services Elaine’s Florist and Gift Baskets has to offer that would fit the needs of the NBA. Elaine was selected as a preferred supplier to provide floral arrangements for various hotel rooms, banquets, and meetings the week of the NBA All-Star Game, February 12th—19th, 2006.

“With the NBA 06' All-Star Games approaching there will be many different floral opportunities, from decorating the suites at the Toyota Center to providing flowers for special parties. Having worked with the NFL and MLB, we look forward to adding the NBA to the feathers on our hat,” said Elaine.

National Association of Women Business Owners
