Cellink Introduces Wireless Handheld Bluetooth Phone for Skype Users
With recent expansion into the U.S. Market, Cellink provides a full line up of wireless solutions for cell phones, GPS devices, iPods/MP3 players, and PC.
LAS VEGAS, NV (PRWEB) January 5, 2006 -- Cellink, a major manufacturer of Bluetooth products for cellular technology and consumer electronics markets, today announced an advanced wireless phone for Skype – the Internet’s hottest free communications tool. The credit-card sized BTHP-620 Bluetooth phone is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket and gives users the freedom to make and receive Skype calls without being tethered to their PC. Available in March 2006, the BTHP-620 will be marketed and distributed in the U.S. by Lexy Pacific Corp. with an MSRP of $129.00.
The company will exhibit its full line of BlueTooth products at the Consumer Electronics Showcase (CES) January 5 - 8, in the Las Vegas Hilton Ballroom, booth 54007.
The BTHP-620 features a key pad and an OLED screen allowing users to have total control of Skype software from up to 330 feet away from their PC. It provides all of the comfort, functionality, and familiarity of a cordless phone so that users can easily and instantly chat freely with business associates, friends, and family. The BTHP-620 can also function as a simple VoIP phone extension to the PC, providing a wireless microphone and speaker solution with Yahoo Instant Messenger, AOL IM, DialPad, and other popular chatting and Internet telephony applications. Cellink also includes a USB Bluetooth adaptor featuring the latest EDR 2.0 chipset which provides the fastest transfer rate of 2.1Mbps.
Grace Pan, President of Cellink, stated, “Skype and other IP telephony applications have created a new platform for business and personal communications. eBay’s recent acquisition of Skype and Yahoo’s purchase of DialPad have significantly increased visibility and attention to this space, and new applications and tools will continue to attract new users and grow the market. The BTHP-620 will enhance the overall Skype experience, increasing productivity and also making it a more powerful tool for day-to-day communications.”
The BTHP-620 features dedicated buttons to control all of the important features in Skype, including connect, hang up, volume, handsfree, contacts, volume, dialing, and scrolling. The integrated screen displays phone and Skype status, account name, nick name, battery and signal status, volume and scroll bar. It also features an integrated rechargeable lithium polymer battery which provides talk times of up to 8.5 hours and a standby time of up to 240 hours.
Cellink products have been consistently acclaimed for their high standards in design quality at industry awards shows.
