New Website to Help Beginner Gardeners Take Their First Steps in Gardening
If you are new to gardening and want straightforward easy-to-follow advice on how to get started, then check out this new website. Especially intended for everyone who is unsure what to do first, confused by gardening jargon, and with limited time or resources, Frances Barnwell provides simple step-by-step guides to help you start gardening with confidence.
Gunnislake, Cornwall, UK (PRWEB) January 9, 2006 -- Fran Barnwell is a self-taught gardener, learning through experience in her own garden. Fran understands the difficulties that face new gardeners, and wants to share the knowledge that she gained to help others take those first steps in gardening. This new website is the result.
As Fran explains, “When I started out as a gardener I tried to find help, but everywhere I looked the information was often difficult to understand and frequently confusing. What I needed was a straightforward step-by-step guide in plain simple language – there wasn’t one available – so I was inspired to write this guide based on my own experiences gained from my own garden.”
Via this website, Fran offers, first of all, a free subscription to a regular newsletter, tackling the major concerns that new gardeners worry about.
Also available from the website is her eBook, “The Ultimate Guide to Gardening for Beginners”. Fran has written this eBook to provide a comprehensive step-by-step guide for new gardeners, with straightforward advice, hints, tips and shortcuts. It is divided into 5 easy-to-understand sections, covering basic information on what you need to get started; information on different types of plants; gardening throughout the year; garden friends and foes; and growing from seed.
Fran will be working in partnership with Thrive, the UK national charity whose aim is to enable positive change in the lives of disabled and disadvantaged people through the use of gardening and horticulture.
