Voxelle Enables USB VoIP Handset with Telephone Line Support

Voxelle today announced the world’s first USB VoIP handset solution that enables users to make and receive VoIP and PSTN calls from the same USB handset. Voxelle will be displaying this product in Booth 71837CC in the Sands Expo, at the CES show in Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS, NV (PRWEB) January 8, 2006 -- Voxelle today announced the world’s first USB VoIP handset solution that enables users to make and receive VoIP and PSTN calls from the same USB handset. Voxelle will be displaying this product in Booth 71837CC in the Sands Expo, at the CES show in Las Vegas.

Until now, USB handset users were only able to utilize VoIP services. Voxelle’s new VL2820 USB VoIP Handset solution also enables PSTN services simultaneously with PC based VoIP applications such as Skype, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, GoogleTalk and others.

The VL2820 is ideal for those users who seek free, high-quality VoIP calls through their PC, but also do not want to give-up their existing PSTN connection for emergencies. It delivers the convenience, low cost and familiarity of USB handsets, while leveraging the full benefit of VoIP and PSTN on the same device. The interface to the PSTN network is made possible using Voxelle's patent protected technology that takes advantage of the analog modem that exists on almost every PC, thus providing advanced features at virtually no extra cost.

"Once again Voxelle demonstrates its ability to introduce new innovative concepts to the consumer VoIP market”, said Ronen Bartal, Vice President of Product Marketing and Development at Voxelle. "We believe that the benefits of leveraging existing modems that reside today on almost every PC will enable users to better utilize VoIP services while reducing their required investment", he added.

Based on field proven TLink™ VoIP chipsets, coupled with this new patented technology, Voxelle's VL2820 enables advanced gateway functions while using a standard low-cost USB handset.

“Since its initial introduction in 2005, our TLink™ chipset has been deployed in volume by number of leading OEM’s and ODM’s worldwide.” commented Kapriel Karagozyan, President of Voxelle. “The VL2820 product is yet another step in our commitment to expand our product offering to the VoIP consumer market.

Voxelle’s VL2820 solution is comprised of the VL2820 chipset, along with software, drivers and reference design. Contact Voxelle for samples and design materials.
