Calabasas, CA (PRWEB) January 10, 2006
While tinsel town's elite are fine-tuning acceptance speeches and preparing for the ultimate style showdown on the Golden Globes' red carpet January 16, select upscale children's clothing lines and toy companies are preparing for a Golden Globe extravaganza of their own. That event is "The Boom Boom Room," the first-ever celebrity parent gifting suite held in honor of the Golden Globes. As children's clothier Crib Rock Couture is on the short list of celebrity favorites invited to attend, the company will use this VIP platform to unveil their upbeat Supima cotton line for Spring 2006.
For those not in the know, Crib Rock Couture makes nursery rhymes hip by transforming Mother Goose Legends like Bo Peep, Miss Muffet and Humpty Dumpty into Rock, Pop and Rap Super Stars. Their colorful cotton raglan and cap sleeve tees showcase silhouettes of the rhyming peeps mashed up with urban witticisms and pop culture lingo. This mixture of casual California style and offbeat humor was a quick hit with celebrity parents.
"I love that Jon Favreau's kids own our tees, as well as some beautiful teen talents like musician Brie Larson (She Said) and actress Kristen Stewart (Cold Creek Manor, Panic Room)." Bobbitt's favorite celebrity moment to date has been creating a gift basket from Matt Damon and his new bride Luciana especially for Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck's daughter Violet. Accompanying Crib Rock's signature nursery rhyme rock tees in the package are also decorative diaper covers from fellow celebrity favorite and Boom Boom Room sponsor, Diapees&Wipees.
Although it wasn't intentional, a little flash and a lot of quality quickly caught Hollywood's eye when Crib Rock Couture made its Hollywood debut at Denise Richard's baby shower for Lola Rose Sheen in May 2005. Tracy had discussed her designs with a small circle of friends and family prior to its launch, so it was a huge surprise when just 15 hours after finishing the first of the tees, a family friend called requesting Crib Rock Couture for Richard's baby shower. "It was such Hollywood moment," Bobbitt recalls, "The shower was even hosted by Heather Locklear at her home - I still can't believe what an honor it was." The lines momentum grew rapidly from there and by summer's end Crib Rock Couture was hanging in the armoires of many celebrity Moms and their pampered tots.
Tracy quickly learned about the benefits of Hollywood's enthusiasm. In September, following the Katrina disaster, Crib Rock Couture donated tees to Morgan Freeman's fundraising auction which featured many celebrity-donated items. When the charity's organizers CharityFolks.com conveyed that a celebrity signature on the tees would help raise funds for the cause exponentially, Bobbitt took it as a personal challenge. "The next thing I knew, we had not one but two huge film stars signing Crib Rock Couture tees. Both Angelina Jolie and Matt Damon were generous enough to sign our shirts and that easily quadrupled their final asking prices." The auction monies went directly to the victims of Hurricane Katrina though the Red Cross. "It was truly a win-win moment in this journey with our company," she states.
When she conceived of Crib Rock Couture Bobbitt did not consciously target celebrity parents and children as clientele. Reading classic nursery rhymes with her young daughter is the genesis of Crib Rock Couture. Traditional rhyme characters mashed with urban and pop lingo on custom dyed raglans, the concert tees are the first dedicated specifically to the Mother Goose crew. Unlike many trendy tees, creating a garment of superior quality was essential to Crib Rock Couture's CEO. The company recently became Supima licensees because of their ongoing commitment to using the finest materials in their garment construction. Tracy declares, "Ultimately I want kids to be so comfortable with the fit and feel of Crib Rock Couture that they wear our tees more often than any of the others hanging in the closet."
With the clothier's many Tinsel Town alliances, it came as no surprise that Crib Rock Couture was one of the first companies invited to participate in the "Boom Boom Room'" gala. Held two days prior to the Globes, at a hush-hush Hollywood location, "The Boom Boom Room," will be the ultimate in pampering and luxury for Celebrity Offspring, where they will have first dibs on the worlds most sought after children's products in a luxurious, serene and private shopping forum.
