'Sweet' Tea
Start the New Year off right with a cup of tea and good company. You'll be surprised to hear that teens are taking to tea and think it is Sweet.
Sparta, NJ (PRWEB) January 8, 2006 -- Any time is tea time nowadays. Traditionally Afternoon Tea is served between 3 and 5 pm, but you may enjoy a cuppa anytime of the day. Tea is becoming so popular you will even spot a group of teenagers hanging out while drinking tea. Teenagers think tea is sweet. (and we don’t mean sugary tasting, we mean cool or great).
It is refreshing to think that a cup of tea can bring people together in so many positive ways. Many establishments have created things like “open mic night” when the local teens can come and play guitar or sing. Others have hired entertainment on certain nights to bring in different clientele on different days. There is something for everyone. We all have different likes and dislikes in what we eat and drink and how we spend our time. It’s nice to see coffee and tea shops opening up and drawing in the different age groups.
It’s so easy to do. Setting up a microphone and speakers or inviting a guest speaker will draw people in to a relaxing, refreshingly different and unique way to unwind and socialize. Keep an eye out for unique events being hosted by your local coffee & tea shops. If they don’t advertise it, ask them or request it.
Start the New Year off right with a cup of tea and good company. Encourage your friends to join you for tea. Encourage your teens to try a cup. I think it will be the new “cool” thing to do very soon (or is that “sweet” in today’s teen lingo?). A tea room in NJ has reported to me that they frequently have teenagers come to hang out, drink tea, and read The Tea House Times. Imagine that. A few teenagers sitting around drinking tea and paging through The Tea House Times. At first we were surprised to hear it, but the tea room owner told us the teenagers are very respectful of the furnishings and have a calm, relaxed time, and sometimes sit and read awhile.
That’s what it’s all about. Tea brings people together. And that’s just what we need nowadays. Let’s start the New Year off right. Let’s have tea.
